Will Mead on Four Winds Beach

This painting is an oil, one that was commissioned by Dick Avery as a gift to Will Mead and his 2nd wife, Sylvia for their wedding in 1973.  This is Will walking down Four Winds Beach with is fishing pole — a familiar site in the 70’s and 80’s I’m sure.

This card is still attached to the back of the painting.  The front of the small envelope says:  To Will and Sylvia

This is an old family gem that Will Mead’s son sent to me from his collection of family memorabilia — when Dad and my brother Rob put the shuffle board court in at the Sundowner Resort that Will Mead and his mother, Jeannine owned so long ago, back in the good old Keys’ days.  This is Millard and Will.

This is father and son (Millard and Robert Wells) polishing the surface of the shuffle board court in the early 70’s.  Our families spent lots of time playing on that court and enjoying it together.  Will, Jeannine and their son, Mark were very good friends of our entire family for many, many years.  My deep thanks go to Mark for sharing these photos with everyone who visits this site and all of our family
